What does the density of foam mean, and what makes it significant?
Foam density, measured in pounds per cubic foot, is determined by weighing a 12-inch cube. Generally, foams with higher density are more durable and resilient than those with lower density. Even if two foams have comparable compression or ILD ratings, the denser foam will typically last longer before exhibiting sagging.
