CertiPUR is a voluntary testing, analysis and certification program for the environment, health and safety properties of polyurethane foam used in bedding and upholstered furniture applications.
Foam Calgary foam grades meet CertiPUR standards and are certified to be:
- Free from heavy metals like mercury, lead, or cadmium
- Free from dyes considered carcinogenic or allergenic, as outlined by US & EU regulations
- Free from phthalate plasticizers
- Free from substances linked to cancer or potential genetic damage
- Emitting low levels of VOCs (volatile organic compounds)
We have successfully supplied samples and secured CertiPUR certification, which lasts for three years. To maintain compliance, annual control tests are conducted throughout this period. When you purchase a mattress or furniture from a CertiPUR-certified company, you can be assured that the foam is free of harmful chemicals and has minimal VOC off-gassing.
We adhere to the strict standards of CertiPUR and strive to ensure that all our foam grades and mattress covers are clean and safe for use. Similar to CertiPUR, the Oeko Tex 100 and EU Ecolabel maintain comparable quality requirements for polyurethane foam. Our mattress covers, primarily imported from Europe, also hold these fabric certifications. All Foam Calgary foam grades are CertiPUR certified.
